Yesterday in Te Ngahere we have been writing poems about ourselves using metaphors . We had to write metaphors that we think best describes ourselves. We were able to write 5 lines or more.. I think I did well with my poem to describe myself , I enjoyed comparing myself to things that I like and describing   the words that best suits me.I think next time I could think of better metaphors about me.This is my first draft.

Kaitiakitanga o te moana

Since week 7 In Te Ngahere we have  been learning how to make connections
between things we read and things we view to create new learning and understandings.
Our topic was about Kaitiakitanga o te moana That means the (Guardians of the ocean).
I think I did well, because I was able to find out new information about our ocean  and was
able to give interesting facts about our topic. I enjoyed working with my buddy and not socialising
with my mates.

In Te Ngahere we have been revising our pepeha.We have been learning how to say and read our pepeha confidently.Our purpose of revising our pepeha is to know the tikanga behind it. I really enjoyed revisiting my pepeha and how to not just introduce myself but my whole whanau.
